BJP MP Sudhanshu Trivedi targeted the Samajwadi Party's 'PDA' strategy, alleging it is a cover-up for promoting dynasts, dictators, and criminals. Trivedi criticized India block leaders in the wake of rising crimes against women, notably in Uttar Pradesh.
The term 'PDA,' coined by SP president Akhilesh Yadav, stands for 'pichhda,' Dalit, and 'alpsankhyak,' aiming to consolidate backward classes, Dalits, and minority votes. However, Trivedi claims it conceals the party's true nature of 'parivarwadi,' 'dabang,' and 'apradhi'.
Trivedi cited incidents such as the alleged gang rape in Ayodhya and a rape bid in Kolkata to underline his point, blaming a 'particular mindset' that fosters criminal behavior and impunity. He also criticized Congress leaders Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Sonia Gandhi, and Rahul Gandhi for their silence on these issues.
