In a recent development, the family of a Dalit gang-rape victim in Faizabad allegedly refused to meet Samajwadi Party MP Awadhesh Prasad, according to claims made by the BJP on Sunday.
BJP spokesperson Rajneesh Singh stated that villagers stopped Prasad outside the victim's house and questioned the purpose of his visit. As the crowd grew, a protest ensued, forcing Prasad to leave the area.
Prasad, however, refuted these claims, insisting that he met with several villagers and assured them of full support for the victim's family, along with strict action against the accused. Prasad emphasized that he and his party stand with the victim and her family.
