Alliance Secured: NC and Congress Unite for Jammu and Kashmir Elections

National Conference president Farooq Abdullah confirmed on Thursday that an electoral alliance with Congress has been finalized for all 90 assembly seats in Jammu and Kashmir.
The announcement came after a pivotal meeting with Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge. Abdullah expressed optimism about the alliance, which will be formalized later in the day.
The Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections are scheduled in three phases: September 18, 25, and October 1, with results announced on October 4. Abdullah also highlighted CPI(M)'s support and stressed the importance of restoring full statehood to Jammu and Kashmir, in line with Congress and the INDIA bloc's commitment.
