BJP Haryana state president Mohan Lal Badoli commented on the ongoing preparations to choose the candidates for the Haryana Assembly elections on Monday. He stated that suggestions from every level of the party are being considered before the central leadership takes a final decision. Speaking to journalists, he said, "There was a long list, everyone is being surveyed. Feedback is being taken from below. After that, the central leadership will make the final decision."

Earlier on Monday, former Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) leaders Devender Singh Babli, Sunil Sangwan, and Sanjay Kablana joined the BJP. They were welcomed by BJP National General Secretary Arun Singh and Haryana BJP state president Mohan Lal Badoli at a press conference. When asked if Devender Babli will be contesting the election, Mohan Lal Badoli clarified that the party does not induct people based on providing tickets. First, the individual joins, and then deliberations on their candidature occur.

After joining BJP, Devender Singh Babli expressed pride in working under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, stating that another term for the BJP government in Haryana is imminent. "Today, I am feeling very proud that I will get a chance to work under the leadership and vision of PM Modi. The coming time is for the BJP party...We have formed a government at the Centre, and with hard work, we will form a government in Haryana...We will make the public aware of the work done by the party and achieve a majority," asserted Babli.

The BJP Central Election Committee (CEC) has finalised 55 candidates for the Haryana Assembly in a meeting on August 29. However, the party plans to announce the names gradually. The elections in Haryana will be held in a single phase on October 5, with the counting of votes on October 8. (ANI)
