In a significant discovery, four powerful improvised explosive devices (IEDs) were unearthed on Sunday amid an ongoing anti-Naxal operation in Jharkhand's West Singhbhum district, according to police officials.

The discovery resulted from a combing operation jointly executed by the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Jharkhand Jaguar, and the district armed police. Targeted forest areas near villages including Jimki Ekir, Murumbura, and Hussipi, which are adjacent to Tonto and Goilkera police stations, were the focus, as informed by Superintendent of Police Ashutosh Shekhar.

The IEDs, each weighing 5 kg, were effectively neutralized by the bomb disposal squad on-site. Superintendent Shekhar noted that the devices had been planted by Maoists to ambush security forces. The combing operations were reported to continue late into the evening.
