CRPF Jawan Dies in Lightning Strike During Anti-Naxal Operation
A 23-year-old CRPF jawan, Kamlesh Hemla, died after being struck by lightning during an anti-Naxal operation in Chhattisgarh's Bijapur district. Hemla was part of a squad from CRPF's 85th battalion on an area domination operation from its Kavadgaon camp. He succumbed to his injuries en route to the hospital.

A 23-year-old jawan of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) died during an anti-Naxal operation in Chhattisgarh's Bijapur district after being struck by lightning, officials confirmed.
The incident occurred as Constable Kamlesh Hemla was patrolling with the 85th battalion from its Kavadgaon camp. It began to rain and lightning struck Hemla, resulting in severe injuries.
Hemla, a resident of Santoshpur village and a member of the CRPF's Bastariya Battalion, succumbed to his injuries while being transported to the hospital. The authorities have registered an accidental death report and are conducting further investigations.
