Delhi Court Awaits Verdict on ED's Supplementary Charge Sheet Against Lalu Prasad Yadav

A Delhi court is expected to issue its decision on August 24 regarding the cognisance of a supplementary charge sheet filed by the Enforcement Directorate against former Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, his son Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, and others in the land-for-job scam case.

A Delhi court will likely announce its decision on August 24 on whether to acknowledge a supplementary charge sheet from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) against ex-Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, his son Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, and eight others, linked to an alleged land-for-job scam.

Special Judge Vishal Gogne reserved the order on the prosecution complaint after hearing the ED's arguments, which claimed there was sufficient evidence to prosecute the accused. The supplementary charge sheet was filed on August 6.

The ED's case stems from a CBI FIR and involves Group-D railway appointments made in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, during Lalu Prasad's tenure, in exchange for land parcels transferred to the RJD leader's family or associates.
