Boeing Workers Strike for Better Wages and Pension Benefits
More than 30,000 Boeing workers have begun a strike to demand higher wages and improved pensions. Union leader Jon Holden stated that the workers, producing key aircraft models like the 737 MAX, are prepared for a protracted dispute until their demands are met.

A strike at Boeing could extend indefinitely as workers hold firm in their demands for increased wages and enhanced pension benefits, according to union leader Jon Holden. Speaking to National Public Radio on Saturday, Holden expressed confidence in achieving these goals.
The industrial action involves over 30,000 members of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM). These workers, integral to the production of Boeing's popular 737 MAX and other aircraft, initiated the strike on Friday after decisively rejecting a new contract proposal.
With the strike underway, the aerospace manufacturer faces significant disruptions, particularly in Seattle and Portland, where the affected workers are based. The union's resolve signals a potential for an extended standoff as both parties negotiate terms.
