Police Capture Notorious History-Sheeter After Dramatic Escape Attempt
A history-sheeter named Rohit Raj, who attacked police officers in an attempt to escape, was shot and captured by police in Chetpet. Raj, with over 10 criminal cases against him, had to be admitted to the hospital along with two injured policemen. The incident occurred during a weapon recovery operation.

A history-sheeter who allegedly attacked police and attempted to flee was shot at and nabbed by authorities in Chetpet on Tuesday.
The murder suspect, Rohit Raj, had over 10 criminal cases, including murder, assault, and extortion, pending against him. He attacked two police officers during a weapon recovery operation.
Alert police officers thwarted his escape attempt by shooting him in the leg. Raj and two injured constables were admitted to the Kilpauk government medical college hospital.
Raj had been hiding in Theni and was apprehended by a special police team two days earlier. He was brought to Chennai for interrogation, related to the murder of another history-sheeter from Mylapore.
According to police, SI Kalaiselvi was forced to open fire in self-defense to capture the suspect.
