In a fierce stand against the recent RG Kar rape and murder case, the women's wing of West Bengal BJP staged a protest, accusing the state administration of negligence. Demonstrators displayed cut-outs of locks, symbolizing their demand for stringent law enforcement.
On Friday, BJP MLA Agnimitra Paul responded sharply to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's controversial statement 'Bengal jalega, to poora Bharat jalega', describing it as anti-national. Paul urged the application of the UAPA against Banerjee, criticizing her handling of the case and highlighting alleged cover-ups and tampering with evidence.
The Central Bureau of Investigation, under orders from the Calcutta High Court, continues its probe, including multiple polygraph tests on key suspects. Amidst political friction, the victim's family seeks justice, voicing concerns over administrative inaction and bribery claims.
