Jaipur resident doctors have called off their ongoing strike, which was in support of the protest against the rape and murder of a Kolkata doctor.
Dr. Manohar Siyol, president of the Jaipur Association of Resident Doctors (JARD), announced the decision after a meeting held on Thursday evening. The striking doctors chose to resume work following an appeal from the Supreme Court during a hearing in the case.
Earlier in the day, the Supreme Court had requested the doctors to return to work and assured them that no adverse action would be taken once they rejoined.
