Kotak Education Foundation and IIT Bombay Launch Scholarship for Women in STEM

The Kotak Education Foundation (KEF) and IIT Bombay have announced an exclusive scholarship program aimed at empowering young women from underserved communities. Named the Kotak Kanya-IIT Bombay Scholarship, the initiative aims to provide substantial financial support, ensuring these students can pursue higher education without financial hurdles.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in the presence of notable figures from both institutions, including Prof. Ravindra D Gudi, Dean Alumni and Corporate Relations, IIT Bombay, and Dr. Ganesh Raja, CEO, Kotak Education Foundation. The scholarship will offer INR 2.85 lakhs per year till the completion of a professional graduation course/degree, supplemented by holistic programs for overall development.
Dr. Ganesh Raja expressed that the scholarship is designed to not only provide financial aid but also mentorship, industry exposure, and skill development. Prof. Ravindra Gudi emphasized that the initiative aligns with national goals for women empowerment, aiming to break down barriers in STEM education and foster inclusive growth.
