Champai Soren, former Jharkhand Chief Minister and leader of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), received a rousing welcome from supporters upon his Tuesday night return to Seraikela Kharsawan. Soren's arrival from Delhi has ignited speculation about his potential move to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), raising eyebrows in political circles.

Fueling these rumors are statements from Soren expressing his discontent with the JMM and the coalition government. Over the weekend, Soren took to social media to air grievances, alleging that he was "insulted" during his term as Chief Minister and that he is contemplating all options ahead of the upcoming Jharkhand Assembly elections.

Upon his return, Soren commented, "I went to Delhi for personal reasons, where I shared my thoughts. I stand by them. I have three choices: retire, form a new party, or find a new ally. My new chapter is beginning." Meanwhile, Congress Chief Keshav Mahto Kamlesh countered the speculation, insisting the coalition had shown respect to Soren.

Soren's social media posts detail feelings of marginalization, such as being asked to resign abruptly and being denied a legislative meeting. In response, BJP State President Babulal Marandi acknowledged Soren's distress but refused comment on a BJP switch. Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren accused BJP of destabilizing government efforts, echoed by State Minister Banna Gupta who expressed confidence BJP's lure would fail.

As Jharkhand's political scene heats up, all attention remains on Champai Soren's next political move, which holds significant weight for the state's future elections. (ANI)
