Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) leader Hafiz Hamdullah has firmly rejected any notion that his party might align with the Shehbaz Sharif-led coalition government, as reported by ARY News. In a forceful statement, Hamdullah confirmed that JUI-F will maintain its role in the opposition, emphasizing that joining the current administration would spell political demise for the party.
Hamdullah further clarified that Maulana Fazlur Rehman's party sees no need to join the government, which he claims has lost the public's trust. 'Everyone knows who is actually managing the government affairs,' he remarked, according to ARY News.
The JUI-F leader also criticized the parliament's lack of autonomy, stating that it is not functioning independently. 'Our struggle is for an independent parliament, free from external influences. We believe in representing the people's politics, not relying on power,' Hamdullah told ARY News.
On August 30, Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited Maulana Fazlur Rehman's residence in Islamabad, expressing a desire for renewed cooperation with Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F). Despite the Prime Minister's invitation to work together again, Maulana Fazlur Rehman resolutely upheld his party's stance.
'We want to work together again, just like we did in the past,' PM Shehbaz Sharif stated, according to ARY News. However, the JUI-F chief responded firmly, 'We are where we were in the past; you have changed your path.'
