In a significant development, four senior members of former Prime Minister Imran Khan's media team were detained by intelligence agencies in Pakistan on Saturday. The incident marks the latest crackdown against Khan's party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

According to a statement from PTI, International Media Coordinator Ahmed Janjua and three other social media team members were abducted early in the morning. CCTV footage released by the party shows Janjua being taken into custody by plainclothes men in Islamabad.

PTI reported that there has been a series of such crackdowns on its social media team over the past two weeks. Highlighting the seriousness of the situation, the party condemned any attempt to curtail the flow of information and called for the immediate safety and return of those detained.
