Police Constable Arrested for Rape in Raipur

A 26-year-old police constable in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, has been arrested for allegedly raping a 22-year-old woman. The rape occurred on the night between Wednesday and Thursday in his car and at her house. He is currently facing charges under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for rape and criminal intimidation.

A police constable was arrested on Friday for allegedly raping a 22-year-old woman in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, according to an official statement.

The woman reported that the 26-year-old constable raped her in his car and at her residence during the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday.

The constable, who is stationed at the State Police Academy in Chandkhuri near Raipur, was taken into custody under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for rape, criminal intimidation, and other offences following the woman's complaint on Thursday.
