The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday carried out polygraph tests on two private security guards associated with Kolkata's RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, where a trainee doctor was allegedly raped and murdered on August 9.

The guards appeared before a Kolkata court on Thursday to approve the tests. With the court's authorization, the tests were completed by evening.

The case has seen 10 individuals tested, including arrested suspect Sanjay Roy, former college principal Sandip Ghosh, Kolkata Police ASI Anup Dutta, four on-duty doctors, and a civic volunteer. The CBI aims to find discrepancies in statements through these tests, which monitor psychological and physiological responses.
