A policeman's brother was brutally hacked to death by Naxalites in Chhattisgarh's Bijapur district, raising concerns over local security.
The incident occurred on Tuesday night in Timmenar village, Mirtur police station limits, where unidentified assailants stormed in and immediately attacked the victim, Sudru Karam, with sharp-edged weapons, killing him on the spot.
Officials have confirmed that the Naxalites suspected Sudru Karam to be a police informer. He was the brother of head constable Sannu Karam, stationed in nearby Dantewada. A search operation is now in progress to locate the attackers. This is the third such killing in Bijapur within a week, alarming residents and authorities alike.
