A tragic shooting in northwestern Bosnia on Wednesday morning claimed the lives of three individuals, including the principal, a secretary, and a teacher, according to police.

The incident unfolded around 10 a.m. local time in a secondary school building in Sanski Most, located about 300 kilometers northwest of Sarajevo, stated regional police spokesman Adnan Beganovic.

The shooter, an employee of the school, used an automatic rifle and then attempted to take his own life. He is currently in critical condition in a hospital in Banja Luka. Authorities believe the gunman had a dispute with the school's management. Although details remain sparse, Beganovic noted the school was operating for repeat examinations despite the summer holiday.
