In a tragic incident in Korba, Chhattisgarh, two people were killed and two others injured after being struck by a speeding car, police reported on Wednesday.
The incident occurred on Tuesday night within the Civil Lines police station area. A speeding car with the registration number CG-12 BN-2421 hit four individuals around 9.30 pm, leaving them severely injured. The driver fled the scene immediately after the accident.
All four victims were rushed to a nearby private hospital, where Shiv Kumar Miri (35) and Manoj Kumar Giri (37) succumbed to their injuries. Authorities reported that the remaining two victims are out of danger and receiving treatment, as efforts continue to apprehend the runaway driver.
