Delhi Court Rejects RAU's IAS Petition for Building Access Post-Tragedy

A Delhi court has dismissed RAU's IAS Study Circle's request to access its Old Rajender Nagar premises after three UPSC aspirants drowned due to flooding in July. The judge ruled against the petition following arguments from both the applicant and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

A Delhi court has refused RAU's IAS Study Circle's petition for access to its Old Rajender Nagar building, which was sealed after three UPSC civil services aspirants drowned there due to flooding in July.

Chief judicial magistrate Nishant Garg dismissed the application on Wednesday, with the order coming after hearings from both the applicant's lawyers and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

The tragedy occurred on July 27, when three students lost their lives in the building's basement. The institution had sought access for the smooth continuation of classes but was denied.
