United Nations celebrates the International Day of World’s Indigenous Peoples, on the 9th of August, to exhibit the lives and contributions of Indigenous people. United Nations says that prejudice is there when it comes to, addressing the Indigenous people, and their related concerns. Despite being sidelined, from the mainstream developmental issues, the Indigenous People have always embraced nature and live in amity with nature. However, Michael R. Dove from the Department of Anthropology, Yale University, says that though, modernity has assisted the indigenous people in popularizing them, simultaneously, it has threatened their indigeneity also.
