Investigation Deepens in Mike Lynch Yacht Tragedy

Italian prosecutors are investigating two more crew members from British tech tycoon Mike Lynch's sunken yacht, Bayesian. Captain James Cutfield, already under scrutiny, is joined by ship engineer Tim Parker Eaton and sailor Matthew Griffith. The inquiry focuses on potential manslaughter and shipwreck charges.

Italian prosecutors are delving deeper into the investigation of British tech tycoon Mike Lynch's yacht tragedy, focusing on two more crew members along with the captain. The Bayesian sank dramatically over a week ago off the northern coast of Sicily.

Captain James Cutfield, currently under investigation for manslaughter and shipwreck, was joined by ship engineer Tim Parker Eaton and sailor Matthew Griffith, who are now also under scrutiny. Eaton faces allegations of failing to protect the yacht's engine room, while Griffith was on duty during the pre-dawn storm that hit the vessel.

Despite the ongoing investigation, being scrutinized does not equate to guilt. Experts are puzzled by the rapid sinking of the Bayesian, a yacht built by high-end manufacturer Perini. Prosecutors in Termini Imerese, near Palermo, have noted that the investigation will be lengthy, requiring the yacht's wreck to be salvaged from its current depth of 50 meters.
