In a shocking incident, a school teacher has been arrested for allegedly raping a 14-year-old student multiple times in Nalasopara, Maharashtra, according to officials.

The accused, 30-year-old Amit Dubey, was taken into custody on Monday. Authorities say the crimes occurred between March and July this year. Dubey allegedly lured the girl to his home-based tuition center under various pretexts and committed the crime repeatedly.

Jitendra Vankoti, the senior inspector at Pelhar police station, confirmed that Dubey has been charged under several provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act after the girl filed a complaint.
