Head Constable Rahul Kumar was suspended and arrested after a video surfaced showing him accepting a Rs 2,000 bribe from a man named Vicky, officials announced Friday.
The video, which recently circulated on social media, was recorded on July 9 and depicts Vicky handing over the bribe to Kumar for personal gain.
Following an investigation, authorities confirmed Kumar's identity and his role as a court clerk in the Assistant Commissioner of Police/Special Executive Magistrate II's office in Sector-6. Both men were arrested, and a case has been lodged against them under the Prevention of Corruption Act, officials said.
