In a tragic accident on Tuesday morning, seven devotees lost their lives and six others were injured when an auto rickshaw collided with a truck in Madhya Pradesh's Chhatarpur district. The incident occurred near the Kadari area on National Highway (NH)-39, known as the Jhansi-Khajuraho highway, under the jurisdiction of the civil line police station at around 5:30 am, according to police reports.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Agam Jain informed ANI that the accident involved 13 passengers who were on their way to Bageshwar Dham from Mahoba railway station. The injured are currently receiving treatment, with the hospital management and district administration closely monitoring the situation and ensuring all necessary assistance is provided.
SP Jain emphasized that more details about the incident are awaited as investigations continue. The authorities have assured that every possible effort is being made to aid the injured passengers.
