A tragic bus accident on Interstate 20 east of Vicksburg, Mississippi, early Saturday resulted in the loss of seven lives, including a six-year-old and a 16-year-old, Warren County Coroner Doug Huskey confirmed.
The tour bus, which was transporting 47 passengers, primarily Latin American, had overturned near Bovina around 12:30 a.m. The coroner stated that several others sustained injuries but did not provide specific numbers.
The young victims, who were siblings, were among the deceased. The cause of the accident is yet to be determined, and investigations are ongoing.
