In a significant overnight encounter, three terrorists were neutralized by security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Baramulla district on Saturday morning, police reported.
The encounter began during a cordon-and-search operation in Chak Tapper Kreeri area in Pattan, initiated late Friday night.
Officials confirmed that the terrorists opened fire on the forces, prompting retaliation. The cordon was maintained overnight, culminating in the deaths of the three terrorists by morning. The identities and affiliations of the dead are currently under investigation.
