In the wake of a devastating stampede at Baba Siddhanath Temple in Jehanabad district, BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain extended his condolences to the families of the seven deceased. He announced that the Bihar government would provide Rs 4 lakh in compensation to each bereaved family.

RJD MLA Kumar Krishna Mohan, also known as Suday Yadav, blamed Jehanabad's Superintendent of Police and District Magistrate for the tragic incident. He demanded a higher compensation of Rs 10 lakh for each victim and criticized the ruling government for not adequately informing the opposition. Mohan expressed his intention to meet with the injured and the families of the deceased.

The stampede, which occurred in the early hours of Monday, also left nine others injured. Jehanabad DM Alankrita Pandey confirmed the incident and assured that the situation is now under control. The temple is a significant tourist destination in the Magadh region, making the incident particularly concerning for locals and authorities alike.
