Thanjavur-Kumbakonam-Vikravandi Highway to Finish in Three Months Says Gadkari
Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari announced that the Thanjavur-Kumbakonam-Vikravandi national highway project will be completed in three months. He emphasized that funds were readily available and urged the state to expedite land acquisition to facilitate further infrastructure development.

Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari has confirmed that the construction of the Thanjavur-Kumbakonam-Vikravandi national highway will be finalized within the next three months.
During a media briefing at Cholapuram, Gadkari highlighted that financial resources were not an issue, with an additional Rs one lakh crore ready for Tamil Nadu's road infrastructure. He also pointed out that Rs 2 lakh crore had already been spent over the past decade.
The Minister urged the state government to expedite land acquisition and other necessary clearances. Prior to his inspection, Gadkari visited the Jagannatha Perumal temple in Nathan Koil for darshan.
