Senior Congress leader Salman Soz on Friday clarified that the People's Democratic Party (PDP) continues to be part of the INDIA bloc at the national level, despite the party's independent stance in the upcoming Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections.

Speaking at a press conference, Soz accused the BJP of attempting to create divisions in Jammu and Kashmir similar to the ongoing turmoil in Manipur. "They are pitting brothers against brothers, which is why Manipur is burning. They want to do the same in J-K," he said.

He stressed that parties in J-K, excluding BJP and its affiliates, remain unified. Soz pointed out that while contesting separately, the PDP, like other regional parties, strategically aligns with the broader objective of countering the BJP-RSS led coalition. He assured that the people of J-K are together and optimistic about a positive electoral outcome.
