In Balasore, Odisha, a 10-year-old tribal girl was tragically raped and murdered, stirring statewide outrage. BJD leader Pratap Keshari Deb described the incident as 'very heartwrenching' and criticized the BJP for deteriorating law and order.
Deb voiced concerns over a 'spurt of violence on communal lines' and an increase in rape cases. He urged the state government to take immediate action to curb these disturbing trends.
Meanwhile, BJP MLA Santosh Kathua condemned the crime and assured that police efforts are underway to bring the perpetrators to justice. Additionally, BJD's Lekhasri Samantsinghar criticized the BJP-led government for failing to address crimes against women, citing multiple instances of sexual assault across the state.
