Bihar CM Nitish Kumar Mourns the Passing of Former EAM Natwar Singh
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar expressed condolences over the death of former External Affairs Minister Natwar Singh, who served under Dr. Manmohan Singh from 2004 to 2005. Natwar Singh, aged 93, passed away due to a prolonged illness. His last rites will be held tomorrow at Lodhi Road Crematorium.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has expressed his heartfelt condolences on the passing of former External Affairs Minister Natwar Singh. In his message, Kumar highlighted Singh's tenure as Foreign Minister under then Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh from May 2004 to December 2005.
Taking to X, Kumar stated, "The demise of former Union Foreign Minister Natwar Singh is sad. Late Natwar Singh served as Foreign Minister in the government led by then Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh from May 2004 to December 2005. I pray to God to grant eternal peace to the departed soul and give strength to his family to bear this moment of grief." Singh, aged 93, passed away at Medanta Hospital in Gurugram following a prolonged illness. His last rites are scheduled for August 12 at Lodhi Road Crematorium.
Congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP Randeep Singh Surjewala also confirmed Singh's passing, expressing similar condolences on X. Surjewala said, "The news of the demise of former Foreign Minister Natwar Singh ji is sad. May God give strength to his family to bear this loss and grant peace to the departed soul." Singh's illustrious career included receiving the Padma Bhushan in 1984.
