Sebi Chief Denies Allegations of Impropriety
Sebi chief Madhabi Puri Buch and her husband Dhaval Buch have categorically denied allegations made by the Congress regarding impropriety and conflict of interest. They stated that these claims are motivated and defamatory, and that their income tax returns were fraudulently obtained. They have fully disclosed all information and paid taxes accordingly.

Sebi chief Madhabi Puri Buch and her husband Dhaval Buch have firmly denied allegations of impropriety and conflict of interest put forth by the Congress.
In a statement issued on Friday, the Buchs described these allegations as 'incorrect, motivated, and defamatory.' They emphasized that their income tax returns, which form the basis of the allegations, were obtained illegally and through fraudulent means.
They also confirmed that all information had been disclosed fully, with taxes duly paid. Furthermore, Madhabi highlighted that she has never dealt with files involving firms like Agora Advisory, Agora Partners, Mahindra Group, and others, maintaining compliance with Sebi's disclosure and recusal guidelines.
