The Ayodhya district administration on Saturday demolished the 'illegally constructed' bakery of Samajwadi Party leader Moeed Khan. Khan is the main accused in the gang rape of a minor girl.
Officials stated that the bakery was built on illegally confiscated pond land. SDM Ashok Kumar confirmed that the structure had been sealed and demolition procedures commenced.
Khan was earlier accused of raping and blackmailing a 12-year-old girl, a daily wage worker at his home. He allegedly threatened the victim's family to drop the case. Arrested on Thursday, Khan faces serious legal actions.
