In a tragic incident, two jawans from Srikakulam district in Andhra Pradesh were killed in a terrorist attack in the Anantnag area of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday. The deceased soldiers, Sanapala Jagadeeswara Rao (40) from Vallabharayudupet village and Donkari Rajesh (26) from Mekrem Tandra village, were both residents of Srikakulam district.

Jagadeeswara Rao, who was set to retire in three years, had joined the Army in March 2003. His family was informed of his death on Monday morning by army officials. Jagadeeswara Rao is survived by his wife, Samatha Dimilada, and their two daughters, Mokshapriya and Dikshitha. Villagers and friends fondly remember him as a person who got along with everyone.

Vigneswara Rao, the elder brother of Jagadeeswara Rao, expressed mixed emotions, highlighting both their sorrow and pride. "He spent his holidays in March with us before returning to duty. His death is a significant loss; we are heartbroken but also proud of his sacrifice," he said. Uncles Venkatarao and Rajarao also shared their grief, remembering Jagadeeswara Rao as a friendly and beloved family member.
