In an imperative move for educational reform, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday directed the education department to overhaul the school syllabus in accordance with current and future needs.

During a review meeting at the secretariat, Naidu urged officials to engage with education experts, intellectuals, and related professionals for the necessary improvements aimed at catering to the next 10 to 20 years. Emphasizing qualitative and value-based education, he pointed out that the state government is investing Rs 32,000 crore in government school education.

The Chief Minister mandated regular school attendance and called for public schools to elevate their educational quality to match private institutions. He recommended parent-teacher meetings in government schools and tracking both academic and sports progress of students. An action plan for 100% school enrollment and ongoing monitoring until graduation was also instructed.
