In a tragic incident during a religious procession in Pune, Maharashtra, two young individuals lost their lives to electrocution on Sunday. The unfortunate event unfolded in the Wadgaon Sheri area around 11:30 AM, as confirmed by an official from the Chandan Nagar police station.

The victims, identified as Zakariya Shaikh (20) and Abhay Waghmare (17), climbed onto a truck equipped with a DJ music system to hoist a flag. In an unfortunate turn of events, the flag came in contact with high-voltage electric wires, resulting in both individuals getting electrocuted.

While one of the victims died instantly, the other succumbed to injuries at a nearby hospital. Police are set to register a case regarding this heartbreaking incident.
