The incident occurred near Bungal Badhani village when the bus driver lost control of the vehicle. The bus was traveling from Chamba, Himachal Pradesh, to Amritsar.

Police stated that a 22-year-old from Batala, Punjab, died, while the injured were rushed to a nearby hospital. Two victims sustained serious injuries.
