Tragic Hathras Bus Accident Leaves 17 Dead
Two more children died in a Hathras bus accident, increasing the death toll to 17. The incident occurred when a roadways bus hit a van on National Highway 93. The passengers were returning from a mourning ritual, and further aid has been announced by both the Chief Minister and Prime Minister.

Two more children succumbed to their injuries from the Hathras bus accident, raising the fatality count to 17, officials confirmed on Saturday.
Victims Appi (2) and Gulshan passed away in an Aligarh hospital. Sixteen others, including 11 in Hathras and 5 in Aligarh, are still receiving treatment, according to Hathras District Magistrate Ashish Kumar.
At least 15 people, comprised of four women and four children, were killed on Friday after a roadways bus collided with their van on National Highway 93 in Uttar Pradesh. The collision occurred as the bus tried to overtake the van near Kanwarpur village.
The passengers were returning from a mourning ritual in Sasni to Agra. Identified victims include Irshad (25), Munne Khan (55), Muskan (16), and several others.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered immediate relief efforts and announced Rs 2 lakh for the families of the deceased and Rs 50,000 for those severely injured.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Droupadi Murmu have also expressed their condolences and announced financial aid for the victims.
