Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has urged residents of Jammu and Kashmir to join forces with the administration in preserving and protecting ancient religious shrines in the Union Territory.

Sinha participated in religious ceremonies, including praying at Mata Sidhlakshmi Asthapan, Lokbhawan, Anantnag, and joining devotees in the Maha Yagya organized by the Terathraj Sidhlakshmi Peeth Trust.

He also took the opportunity to stress the government's commitment to enhance facilities for pilgrims.

Sinha inaugurated the Kashmir College of Engineering and Technology in Srinagar, highlighting the need for stronger industry-academia collaborations amid rapid industrial transformation.

He emphasized the importance of fostering a culture of innovation and realigning curriculums to meet evolving industry needs, noting that critical skills rather than degrees will shape future careers.

Additionally, the LG released the book 'Cultural Encyclopedia of the Dard Tribe' by Dr. Suheel Rasool Mir, calling for efforts to preserve the culture and linguistic heritage of the Dard tribe.
