A passenger was arrested at Melbourne Airport for an unauthorized and dangerous act that stunned fellow travelers and officials alike. He exited the aircraft through an emergency door, before strolling along the wing and descending a jet engine.
The incident unfolded after Jetstar Flight JQ507 arrived from Sydney and had stopped at the terminal gate. Passenger Audrey Varghese described the individual's erratic behavior, noting that he charged to the emergency exit, shoving people, and opened the door, causing a commotion.
Another witness, Maddison, noted the man's violation of flight rules by vaping and demanding alcohol. Australian Federal Police, alerted by Jetstar staff, detained the individual, who is now under medical evaluation. The airport praised its ground crew for ensuring there was no immediate danger to passengers or staff.
