Indian golfing legends Jeev Milkha Singh and Jyoti Randhawa are set to join 64 international players in vying for top honors at the inaugural HSBC India Legends Championships. Scheduled from August 30 to September 1, the event will be hosted at Jaypee Greens Golf Course in Greater Noida.
This marks the first Legends Tour tournament in India, presenting a prize purse of USD 0.5 million. Michael Campbell, the 2005 US Open champion from New Zealand, is among the notable contenders. The winner will take home USD 74,250, while the runner-up receives USD 49,000.
The tournament will span 54 holes, preceded by a star-studded Pro-Am event. The Legends Tour, managed by the PGA European Tour, allows golfers aged 50 and above to extend their competitive careers. The championship aims to inspire both seasoned and budding golfers, reinforcing the potential for a prolonged and vibrant career in golf.
