Historic Trio: Canadian Golfers Join International Team for Presidents Cup

International Team captain Mike Weir announced on Tuesday that Canadians Corey Conners, Taylor Pendrith, and Mackenzie Hughes have been named to his squad for this month's Presidents Cup, set to be held at Royal Montreal. This historic move marks the first time three Canadian players will compete for the International Team.

The trio was chosen as captain's picks alongside South Africa's Christiaan Bezuidenhout, South Korea's Kim Si-woo, and Australia's Min Woo Lee. The 12-player International Team will face a formidable U.S. side from Sept. 26-29.

Hughes and Lee are first-time participants, while Kim, Bezuidenhout, Conners, and Pendrith have prior experience in the prestigious competition. The upcoming Presidents Cup is set to be a thrilling contest, continuing the tradition of pitting the best in international golf against the top U.S. players.
