In a significant development at Bengaluru's 63rd Subroto Cup Sub-Junior Boys International Football Tournament, five teams have been disqualified for fielding over-age players. The latest teams to face disqualification are Army Public School, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, and Sanjeevan Vidyalaya, Kolhapur, Maharashtra, pushing the total number of disqualified teams to five.

The action was taken following the Skeletal Age Estimation Test, conducted under the regulations set by the All India Football Federation (AIFF). The test results, announced by the Subroto Mukerjee Sports Education Society, revealed that more than four players in each disqualified team were above the cut-off age.

Among the disqualifications, Govt. Chawngfinga Middle School from Mizoram narrowly passed the test but had two players deemed over-age. Those players will continue to be ineligible. Matches involving disqualified teams, including Nazareth Model High School and Nehru Public School, have been rendered null and void.
