CBI investigators on Thursday collected the dental impression of Sanjay Roy, the prime accused in the rape-murder case at state-run RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, an officer said.
This dental impression, which could prove crucial in the investigation, was obtained during a questioning session at the Presidency Correctional Home, according to reports.
'There were bite marks on the victim's body mentioned in the post-mortem report. We aim to match those with the accused's dental impression,' an officer told PTI.
Roy, a Kolkata Police civic volunteer, is currently the only person to have been arrested in this case. The CBI initiated the probe following a directive from the Calcutta High Court.
