The Faridabad native is now the reigning Asian Paralympics champion in the club throw event, with an Asian Games record of 30.01m.

Meeting coach Narsi Ram in 2018, Soorma discovered his passion for athletics. Despite his condition, he is very determined and currently works as an assistant manager at Bank of Baroda. The upcoming Paris Paralympics offer him a chance to not only win a medal but also to honor the sacrifices made by his family.
