In a groundbreaking initiative to enhance accessibility to vocational education, the National Instructional Media Institute (NIMI), operating under the Directorate General of Training (DGT) and Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), has launched a series of YouTube channels. This move aims to provide high-quality training videos to millions of learners within India’s Industrial Training Institute (ITI) skill ecosystem, and the content will be available in nine regional languages.

The new channels, available in English, Hindi, Tamil, Bengali, Marathi, Punjabi, Malayalam, Telugu, and Kannada, are designed to improve technical skills through free and easily accessible digital resources. Each channel features tutorials, skill demonstrations, and theoretical lessons curated by industry experts to ensure they meet the needs of today’s vocational training landscape.

Key Features of the Channels:

Free Content: Available in nine regional languages to reach diverse learners across India.

High-Quality Instructional Materials: Covering sectors such as manufacturing, electronics, and IT.

Regular Updates: To keep learners informed about the latest industry skills and developments.

This initiative is aligned with India’s National Skill Development Mission and the objectives of the New Education Policy (NEP), which focuses on preparing the workforce for future challenges by providing training materials relevant to growing industries.

"NIMI believes that digital platforms are crucial for transforming vocational education," said a NIMI official. "By offering content in multiple languages, we are making education more inclusive, reaching every part of the country, and empowering learners to acquire skills that are aligned with industry needs."

NIMI encourages ITI students, instructors, and skilling enthusiasts to subscribe to their preferred regional channels to stay updated with the latest educational content.
