Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met Indian badminton player Lakshya Sen on Sunday, commending his remarkable performance at the Paris Olympics, according to officials.
Sen, accompanied by his mother Nirmala Sen and father D K Sen, visited Dhami's residence for the meeting. At 23, the talented shuttler from Almora district reached the semi-finals in the men's singles event but lost to Malaysia's Lee Zii Jia in the bronze play-off.
Chief Minister Dhami extended his best wishes to Sen for his upcoming competitions, urging him to maintain his dedication. Dhami assured Sen of unwavering support from the government and the people of Uttarakhand.
