As the campaigning curtain falls for Jharkhand's assembly elections, key figures from the NDA and INDIA blocs made their final pushes for support. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi featured among those rallying for votes.
Set for November 13, 1.37 crore voters are ready to decide among 683 candidates battling over 43 seats. Of these, 17 are reserved for the general category, 20 for scheduled tribes, and 6 for scheduled castes.
The election commission has arranged 15,344 polling stations. Special initiatives include women's management of 1,152 polling sites and 24 booths manned by people with disabilities.
